The home nurse helps you with various nursing tasks. She dresses wounds, gives injections and helps you take your medication. She gives advice on how to prevent sores and on the use of appliances and supports you in dealing with your illness. She supports and advises close family members or friends who look after you. She can also mediate in the contact with other social workers.
The home nurse records all nursing and care tasks that you require in the care plan and ensures that these are carried out properly.
