Cooperation
JMW is working together with other organisations at a national and international level in various fields.
The Netherlands
JMW is a participant in the ‘Joods Zorgcircuit’, a cooperative alliance of all Jewish organisations for welfare and health care in the Netherlands. We offer joint services with several of these organisations or our staff work together. The other participants are:
Beth Shalom (Jewish old-age home and nursing home in Amsterdam)
Mr L.E. Visserhuis (Jewish old-age home in The Hague)
Joods Hospice Immanuel (Jewish hospice for the terminally ill)
Sinai Centrum (Jewish hospital for the mentally ill and the mentally handicapped)
Ziekenhuis Amstelland (general hospital with a Jewish department)
The ‘Centraal Joods Overleg’ (Dutch Central Board of Jewish Deputies) promotes the interests of the Dutch Jewish community.
JMW works together with other organisations that provide assistance to war victims. The foundations, Stichting Pelita, Stichting ’40-’45 and Stichting Burgeroorlogsgetroffenen respectively provide assistance to war victims with an Indonesian background, victims of the Second World War in general and civilian war victims.
International cooperation
JMW is a member of the European Council of Jewish Communities (ECJC) and is one of the participants in the Social Welfare Committee, a committee with the aim of exchanging knowledge and experience between Jewish organisations in various countries.
JMW maintains close contacts with the Stichting Elah, which provides social services to Dutch Jews in Israel, to exchange know-how and experience.
