Psychosocial support
You are welcome to discuss any questions and problems you may have regarding social and psychosocial issues with our Department of Social Work.
Although the Second World War is far behind us, you may feel as if it all happened yesterday. The images of the past and the distress caused by the loss of family or friends often bring emotions to the surface.
Even if you have not been through the War yourself, but your parents or close relatives have, it is possible you feel that the War has strongly influenced your life.
You may have problems in relationships.
You may have questions about your Jewish background.
You may have problems with raising children.
You may suffer from stress and tensions, or you may feel depressed.
You may feel lonely and may not know how to give direction to your life.
You may have questions regarding the Victims of Persecution (1940-1945) Benefits Act or the Civilian War Victims (1940-1945) Benefits Act .
You may have questions about organisations, programmes or forms which have to be filled in.
You may have financial problems.
JMW also provides information and help with applications for Jewish compensation programmes.
