Everyone has problems from time to time. People often solve their problems themselves or with the help of family or friends. However, sometimes people cannot manage on their own. In such cases, turning to a social worker can increase one’s insight into the problem.
The social worker will help you clarify what your needs are and in what way you can be assisted. The social worker can give information and advice, act as a mediator in contacts with other organisations or give counselling. Sometimes one consultation will be sufficient. Sometimes it will be necessary to have several consultations, either at JMW’s offices or at your home, in order to find a solution. These consultations may be organised on an individual basis, in a group or, if you prefer, others may be involved in the consultations.
Apart from social work, JMW also offers a range of services aimed at those who do not manage very well on their own. When limitations become barriers to well-being, a helping hand may be very welcome.
Mediation: work together towards a solution
Whoever has a conflict with someone else, would like to resolve this as soon as possible. Mediation is a way of solving conflicts through an independent third party: the mediator.
